"Citizen Kane," written and directed by Orson Welles, is considered to be one of the most innovative and influential works in the history of film. The plot traces the life of newspaper magnate Charles Foster Kane, whose career in the publishing world is born of idealistic social service but gradually evolves into a ruthless pursuit of power. "Citizen Kane" unfolds in a series of vignettes from the perspective of a newspaper reporter seeking to solve the mystery of Kane's dying word, "Rosebud".
