Palate 2 Palette a Success!
Palate 2 Palette took place this past Saturday. Exhibiting artwork in 7 galleries throughout the Southside neighborhood, this event displayed this community’s energy, dynamism, and passion for the arts.
From the event’s website: ”Palate 2 Palette is an evening dedicated to celebrating the arts in Chattanooga’s Southside. Visit seven galleries as you stroll or ride the trolley. Enjoy beautiful works of art, fine wine and cuisine, and breathtaking floral designs at each gallery.”
The unique offerings at each gallery stimulated the senses through an amalgam of fine cuisine, art, music, and design. Glass-blowing and sushi, dress sculptures and flautas, jazz and metal— the visual images, floral design, and cuisine blended and fused into a stunning presentation, ironically similar to pigments mixing on an artist’s palette.
Best of all, the proceeds from this event went towards the Craniofacial Foundation. The Tennessee Craniofacial Center specializes in the evaluation and treatment of patients of all ages with facial deformities as a result of birth defects, tumors, or trauma.
The sold out event was a huge success. We were so blessed to be a part of it and share with everyone our space, the food of Main St., locally-arranged floral designs, and this community’s artwork.
